Pre course requirements: Divemaster
• A minimum of 20 logged dives (a divemaster must have 60+ on completion).
• A first aid qualification (inc use of 02) and a “Fit to Dive” certificate.
• Padi Open Water, Padi Advanced & Padi Rescue Diver Courses (or hold an equivalent qualification i.e. BSAC Dive Leader).
Participants with the above qualifications complete the course in 4-6 weeks, those starting from scratch can take up to 2 months.
Mod resettlement personnel starting from nothing can achieve Padi Divemaster in the time available. DM trainees (inc beginners) are the mainstay of our organization; many return after discharge to continue their training & undertake IDC/IE (instructor development course & instructor exam).
Pre course requirements: Padi Instructor
Experienced divers (with 100+ logged dives) may enroll for instructor training. We conduct IDC's in conjunction with a visiting Padi course director (CD) from the Great Barrier Reef in Australia . We have a similar arrangement with a local career development centre (CDC) for divers undertaking our ‘Go-Pro' package; this covers everything and takes 2-3 months to complete. This option best suited to divers with considerable previous experience hoping to gain maximum qualifications prior to setting up a business.
